Apostasy refers to the defection from one’s religion. Count Me Out was set up to make formally leaving the Catholic Church as straight forward and easy a process as possible.

Edit: Due to a change in Canon Law the process to formally defect from the Catholic Church is not longer available. Atheist Ireland continues to campaign for the right to practice religious freedom by being facilitated to leave the Catholic Church if you no longer wish to be considered a member NotMe.ie
